Starlancer was a military space sim made by Chris Roberts in collaboration with his brother Erin Roberts.

It was made by Warthog Games and Digital Anvil which Chris Roberts co founded after having left Origin Systems in 1997.

it told the story of a war in this solar system between familiar Earth nations.

The team working on Starlancer was the same team that had been working on Privateer 2 at Digital Anvil, and afterwards started Warthog Games. The core of that team moved on to become Traveler's Tales Fusion, and has since been brought into the Cloud Imperium Games family to work on Squadron 42.
