Though simple looking, Conner's Beard moss holds the notable distinction of being considered the first plant subspecies to have naturally evolved on a [[Space Station]]. Tied intrinsically with its unique place of birth, the bryophyte can only survive in the specific conditions that the aging station's life support systems created.
