The UltiFlex Novia Crossbow is a cross-promotional item with Shroud of the Avatar, a game by Richard Garriott - a friend of Chris Roberts who is not-so-subtly referenced in several pieces of Star Citizen lore. It should be pointed out however that the crossbow weapon will be available ingame to all players, SotA backers will simply receive the crossbow with an exclusive skin.[1][2]
