Bethany Sara Autumn Kalquist Nelson, published under the name Autumn Kalquist, was a storyteller who wrote among others the serialized Star Citizen story Phantom Bounty, which was published on the Roberts Space Industries website as well as in Jump Point magazine.[1][2]

She passed on 22 February 2023 from cancer.[2]

Better World, book 6 of the Fractured Era series by Autumn Kalquist

Published as Autumn Kalquist, Bethany achieved success as a best-selling author of the Fractured Era book series and the Atlantis Academy series.[3][2] She was a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.

In addition to her writing, Bethany was an artist and photographer. As co-founder of Nature Magick, she independently created, published, and licensed artwork and photography with her partner.[2]

When not engaged in creating art or writing, she was composing intricate compositions. In tandem with her best friend, she published several songs.[2]

Early Life

From a young age, she displayed a love for the natural world and its wonders, always eager to share her discoveries with others. She spent countless hours exploring her surroundings, finding beauty in everything.[2]
