Mark Abent is a Lead Gameplay Programmer in CIG Los Angeles. He was the host of the weekly show Bug Smashers. He is a part of CIG since 2013. He was originally a Senior Gameplay Programmer and promoted with Chad McKinney in August 2017 as the engineering team in LA got large and split into two teams.[1] He works on systems which directly impact the mechanics of ships. This ranges from the items operating within the ship (power planet, power system, heat system, UI links) to utilizing engine tech to build complex systems which describe a ship: zones/object containers.[2]
