Types
Type | Purpose |
---|---|
Ballistic compensators | Reduces the recoil generated by ballistic weapons in exchange for an increase of noise. It redirects a portion of propellant gases to counter recoil and unwanted muzzle rise. |
Energy stabilizers | Reduce the recoil generated by energy weapons in exchange for an increase in heat.[1] |
Flash hiders | Reduces the muzzle flash and recoil of a weapon. |
Suppressors | Reduces the muzzle flash and sound of a weapon in exchange for a decrease in damage. |
