Claudia Luehl is Character Artist at Cloud imperium Games.[1]
Works at CIG
She joined CIG in May 2022.[1]
Other Works
She started working at HandyGames Studio in Giebelstadt in 2018 as a Character Artist on games such as Townsmen VR and Stunt Kite Party. [2]
Early Life
A friend introduced her to Dragon Age: Origins. She had not played many video games before, so she was absolutely fascinated by it and began researching how video games are made and learned about the artistic process, from 2D concepts, over 3D modeling to the final product, and realized that working on games is an actual career path. After finishing high school in 2014, she moved to Berlin to study Game Design at the Media Design Hochschule, planning to become a concept artist, as she had always loved drawing. But then she worked on her first character in ZBrush for a class project, and discovered she loved that even more. After getting her Bachelor of Science in 2018, she started working at Handygames but eventually decided to quit her job and enroll in the 2-year program at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood to improve her skills further, from where she graduated in September 2021.[3][2]

Trivia
- While enrolled at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, the COVID-19 pandemic happened, leading to the temporary campus closure. She spent six of her eight terms online, and just as her last class wrapped up, the campus reopened.[4]
- Art that inspires her is often a mix of something beautiful with a slightly dark or creepy twist. She always admired gothic designs, and loves the unique aesthetic of games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. [4]
