Hybrid

Hybrid is the service that has the authoritative connection between the dgs and the client. If the dgs crashes, the player see a server error as the hybrid finds a new dgs to grab. If the hybrid crashes, the player's client client sees a disconnection error.[1]

For static server meshing there are multiple dgs per hybrid that are associated with different locations in game. The client is still connected to the hybrid but as the player moves to different locations, the dgs responsible for doing the 'work' for the player's gameplay will change.[2]
