Wingman's Hangar was a series of weekly videos from Eric "Wingman" Peterson which ran for 72 episodes from December 21st 2012 to June 4th 2014.[1] It was replaced by Around the Verse.[2]
It had evolved from a shtick Eric Peterson had done during the fundraiser where he set up a web camera in the hallway away from the main conference room and did his own comedy bits. One of the promises of the fundraiser was a weekly webcast about the ongoing game development, and the Hanger was born.[3]
The video series was very informal and due to the lack of substantial news regarding the development of the game at that point in time a lot of the contents were skits, lore pieces and community submissions.
Trivia
- The first episode was called Wingman's Nuts.[4]
- One of the community submissions was Jared Huckaby's video of a modded Hangar Module with a PTV racetrack. Jared would go on to work for Cloud Imperium as the host of the later official video series Inside Star Citizen.
- The logo was made by a fan.
- The music was made by a fan, Matthew Fossa.[5]
