The P8-ARM Rifle is a 7.62 mm, selective-fire assault rifle manufactured by Behring Applied Technology. It has an effective range of 60 meters, and can be fired in rapid, burst, and single mode. It is the standard issue assault rifle of the United Empire of Earth Marines. As of Alpha 3.12.0, P8-ARM exists in game files but it is not available for purchase in game.^[1] As of Alpha 3.22.0, the P8-ARM cannot be found in game.

The firing pins on the P8-ARM are made by Kruger Intergalactic.^[2]

Behring has crafted the semi-automatic P8-AR for civilians use.

Trivia

P8-ARM is teased multiple times in different videos such as Around the Verse and the Squadron 42 Vertical Slice for years, but it is not available in the Persistent Universe as of Alpha 3.12.0 even though it exists in the game files.
There was a bug in Alpha 3.8.0 that made the magazine for P8-ARM available to purchase in game.^[3]
There was a bug in early versions of Alpha 3.15.0's PTU (the patch that introduced loot mechanics) that included the P8-ARM in loot tables.^[4]
Two semi-automatic variants were available in the CitizenCon 2954 Digital Goodies Pack.^[5] These are different from the ones used in Squadron 42 as the goodies pack versions have Single as its only fire mode whereas the ones used in Squadron 42 can switch between Rapid and Single. After the release of the civilian version, the military P8-AR rifle was renamed to P8-ARM.^[6]
