The P8-AR Rifle is a 7.62 mm, selective-fire assault rifle manufactured by Behring Applied Technology. It has an effective range of 60 meters, and can be fired in rapid, burst, and single mode. It is the standard issue assault rifle of the United Empire of Earth Marines. As of Alpha 3.12.0, P8-AR exists in game files but it is not available for purchase in game.^[1] As of Alpha 3.18.0, the P8-AR cannot be found in game.

The firing pins on the P8-AR are made by Kruger Intergalactic.^[2]

Trivia

P8-AR is teased multiple times in different videos such as Around the Verse and the Squadron 42 Vertical Slice for years, but it is not available in the Persistent Universe as of Alpha 3.12.0 even though it exists in the game files.
There was a bug in Alpha 3.8.0 that made the magazine for P8-AR available to purchase in game.^[3]
There was a bug in early versions of Alpha 3.15.0's PTU (the patch that introduced loot mechanics) that included the P8-AR in loot tables.^[4]
