The Intel Optane SSD 900P was an SSD was a Solid State Drive using a combination of 3D XPoint™ memory media with Intel’s advanced system memory controller, interface hardware, and software.
Intel partnered with Cloud Imperium Games to promote the intel Optane SSD 900P, with CIG providing a Sabre Raven to buyers of the drive.[1]
The partnership was revealed at CitizenCon 2017, which was sponsored by Intel.[2]
The promotion ended in 2018, and the Intel Optane SSDs have been discontinued.
