The Star Citizen Tools wiki (SCT) is committed to honesty, financial transparency and accountability. For those of you who are interested in how any donations are spent, we have outlined the relevant information below. If you have any questions, please get in touch via Discord and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
To summarise, we’re just looking for a little support to help cover recurring costs. Currently, this is only our server and infrastructure costs. We’ll keep track of everything and update this page accordingly to maintain 100% transparency of all earnings and expenditure. Funds will be used to support the SCT, only.

- Development Instance - A few times per year we need a development instance to test major upgrades and releases - ~ $ 100.00 per year
- On average we lose about 10% of every donation to processing/Patreon/Ko-fi fee's.
Notes
The architecture is designed to easily scale out, be high available to support more traffic, however the compute node is currently sized to only support the site under normal operations and is not allowed to scale out. This is purely done to keep the costs to a minimum but it can increase load times or cause down time when high traffic spikes occur.

Our donation mechanism is designed to allow patrons help cover the ongoing costs that the SCT occurs. It is not an obligation. Only donate if you can. Please read the Important Note, at the bottom of this page, before you do. This is where you can see a breakdown of money in and the progress towards our goals.

Important note
Donating to the SCT is in no way obligatory nor is it expected. It is also not a mechanism to buy special favour with the staff. Any donation amounts will be shared openly and on a monthly basis, but these will always be expressed anonymously.
Gratitude is guaranteed and any support is welcome. We’ll know who you are if you want us to know, but we’ll treat you just like we always have. Hopefully that means we’ll continue to treat you very well.
Money-spent will never be used as a measure of value in the eyes of SCT staff.
