==Development==
Mirai is introduced to the game to strengthen the brand identity of MISC, by separating the performance ships like [[Razor]] from the industrial ships that MISC offers. Razor and its variants are transitioned from MISC to Mirai.<ref name="cl19289" />

==Trivia ==
*Mirai means "Future" in Japanese, the name Mirai honors the settlers of [[Centauri system|Centauri]], home to MISC’s headquarters, and embodies its goal of creating the next generation of ships.<ref name="portfolio">{{Cite Jump Point|title=Portfolio: Mirai|volume=11|month=3|startpage=39|endpage=43|accessdate=2023-06-20}}</ref>
