* There was very little information about the ATLS prior to it's reveal. It was shown for a fraction of a second in the 3.24 "Cargo Empires" update trailer, without any context to it.<ref>[https://youtu.be/WQ25HrxQaM8&t=16 Star Citizen Alpha 3.24 - Cargo Empires] update trailer</ref> Some players pointed it out, but some believed it to be a simple prop. On [[September 5]] 2024 CIG posted a video on Twitter featuring close-up images of the ATLS, with a voice asking "Where do you want it?".<ref>[https://x.com/RobertsSpaceInd/status/1831783295371165930 Twitter video of ATLS]</ref>
* The vehicle was then implemented without any prior announcement into the [[PTU]] phase of [[Star Citizen Alpha 3.24.1|Alpha 3.24.1]] on [[September 6]] 2024. The patch notes stated the vehicle was ready for testing, but only able to be spawned by [[ETF]] players. 3.24.1 was deployed to the [[Live]] branch on [[September 13]], and the vehicle simultaneously went on sale.
