Trivia

  • The vessel is named after the "Phoenix" constellation, which is situated in the southern hemisphere and comprises 25 stars, of which 10 have been confirmed to host orbiting planets. The constellation's most luminous star, "Ankaa," derives its name from Arabic, meaning "the Phoenix." This star is located approximately 82 light years away and has a size equivalent to 14.7 times that of the sun. The constellation takes its name from the mythical Phoenix, a legendary bird known for its ability to regenerate or be reborn cyclically. This concept has its roots in Greek mythology and finds parallels in various cultures, including Egyptian and Persian traditions. The phoenix is often associated with the sun, symbolizing renewal as it rises from the ashes of its former self.[6][7]
