Prior to 400i's introduction, the ship was repeatedly teased by the leak Discord community Star Citizen Leaks since December 2020.[2][3] On April Fools' Day 2021, Cloud Imperium teased the ship by introducing the invisible ship Origin 404, when the community was expecting the 400i reveal.[4][5] After close to eight months of the initial leak, the 400i is officially revealed in CitizenCon 2951 on October 9th, 2021.[6] It is scheduled to be released in Alpha 3.15.0.
