The 400i is a large luxury pathfinder manufactured by Origin Jumpworks that is crafted to achieve a high level of performance. With a greater range compared to other ships in its class, its scanning array, and its substantial defensive capabilities, the 400i is a ship that can explore the most unforgiving sectors of the 'verse while keeping the comfort and elegance that Origin is well known for.

Luxury Crew Accommodation: Beautifully crafted contemporary furnishing provides absolute comfort, whether docked or millions of miles from civilization.
Defense: Contains a size 3 shield generator, 4 bespoke missile racks containing up to 16 size 2 & 16 size 1 missiles as well as two size 4 forward hardpoints & 4 size 3 hardpoints via a pair of rear remote turrets.
X1 Bike Bay: The front nose section contains vehicle bay designed to hold the Origin X1, which allow you to explore at a local level. Access is via a drop down platform.
UEE-Standard Docking Collar: Located on the port side of the ship, this gives you the ability to dock to stations or other ships without exposure to the surrounding environment.
Airlock room: Thanks to this airlock, crew can access hostile environments either via the stepped platform or the side docking collar and not expose the rest of the ship.
Easy cargo access: Effortless access to the ship's 42 SCU of internal storage via a drop down platform.

Development

Prior to 400i's introduction, the ship was repeatedly leaked by the Discord community Star Citizen Leaks starting in December 2020.^[1]^[2] On April Fools' Day 2021, Cloud Imperium teased the ship by introducing the invisible ship Origin 404, when the community was expecting the 400i reveal.^[3]^[4] After close to eight months since the initial leak, the 400i was officially revealed at CitizenCon 2951 on October 9th, 2021.^[5] It is scheduled to be released in Alpha 3.15.0.
