There is very little information about the ATLS prior to it's reveal. It was shown for a fraction of a second in the 3.24 "Cargo Empires" update trailer, without any context to it.[1] Some players pointed it out, but some believed it to be a simple prop. On September 5 2024 CIG posted a video on Twitter featuring close-up images of the ATLS, with a voice asking "Where do you want it?".[2]
The vehicle was then implemented without any prior announcement into the PTU phase of Alpha 3.24.1 on September 6 2024. The patch notes stated the vehicle was ready for testing, but only able to be spawned by ETF players.
